1. Children

Raising funds for supplies and equipment in K-12 schools

Funds, once allocated to participating schools, can be used to purchase any supplies or equipment needed to enhance the learning experience, including standard visual art supplies such as paints, canvases, and pencils, as well as specialty equipment used by learners, such as camera equipment, graphic design software, and easels. Funds can also be used to support school music and theatre programs by funding equipment such as loaner instruments and lighting equipment.

The Crafty Crows’ Coven is an organization supporting art education and art equity in New Jersey and New York. The Crafty Crows’ Coven (or The Three Cs) enhances art equity through three primary modalities:

2. Communities

Arts grants for community art projects

The Three Cs community art grants are designed to bring people together through art. Grants are made available on a rolling basis to support group art projects involving three or more artists for the sake of creating public works, such as murals, sculptures, and arts events with a lasting impact. Applicant groups must submit an itemized budget, scope of work, expected timeline, and detail how their project aims to build community and understanding through art.

3. Creators

Development of open-access maker spaces and art supply libraries

The Crafty Crows’ Coven has a long-term goal of housing an open access makerspace tentatively called The Crafters’ Nest. In the makerspace we will have semi-private studios, free supplies to use within the space, shared equipment, community arts courses, tech literacy courses, and the space can be used as an event space for not-for-profit public events. The Crafters’ Nest will feature an art library with art books and works showcasing various art forms, media, and techniques. The Crafters’ Nest will provide opportunities for community members to display their artworks in rotating exhibitions that benefit the space. Additionally, we will include an equipment and supply lending library so that members (free) can borrow specialty equipment and supplies to work on their projects in the comfort of their own home.

Support the Children

While we are working on getting an official designation as a 501(c)3 charitable organization, The Crafty Crows’ Coven is so excited to actually do the work. we are currently accepting donations for our first ONGOING OBJECTIVE: PURCHASING supplies and equipment FOR K-12 schools.

Please note: we are not currently a 501(c)3 charitable organization, so any donation at this time will not be tax deductible, but it will absolutely impact young makers’ lives. To donate, please submit payment at our KindBee fundraising link here:
