Follow the Ravens: The On the Brink Poster Hunt Is On

We’ve been printing a little temptation.

Now it’s out in the world, waiting for someone observant enough to notice. Someone curious. Someone who hears “art giveaway” and suddenly has very important business in five towns.

Sound familiar, darling?

Raven’s Ink Printing & Gallery’s On the Brink poster hunt invites you to find event posters in Suffern, NY, and Mahwah, Ramsey, Ridgewood, and Westwood, NJ, then share your discoveries on social media. There are four poster styles, with at least two designs in each town.

Find a design and post about it to earn 1 point per poster type. Find and interact with all four styles by sharing your finds to earn 6 points total.

We’ll draw based on social media posts to give away artwork, RIP Gallery credit, and an art set that’s practically begging you to clear some creative space.

Your camera has an assignment. Let’s get acquainted with the hunt.

What is the On the Brink poster hunt?

The On the Brink poster hunt is a local art scavenger hunt celebrating On the Brink: Living in the Liminal, our upcoming exhibition with 7 Souls Tattoo and Piercing in Ramsey.

The idea is simple: take the curiosity you’d bring to an art show and let it loose around town.

Look for the different poster designs. Photograph your finds. Share them on social media. Each different style you find and post about earns points toward the campaign.

It’s a reason to look up, explore your surroundings, and help local art find its audience.

And yes, there are prizes. We do appreciate a little motivation.

Where can you find the posters?

Your hunting grounds stretch across Bergen County, New Jersey, and neighboring Suffern in Rockland County, New York:

  • Suffern, NY

  • Mahwah, NJ

  • Ramsey, NJ

  • Ridgewood, NJ

  • Westwood, NJ

There are at least two different poster designs in each town and four styles across the hunt.

Keep an eye out as you explore. Notice the artwork, compare the designs, and see which ones you’ve already collected.

The points follow the poster type, so finding another copy of the same design doesn’t add a new type to your collection. Those sharp little eyes are looking for variety.

How to participate and earn points

Here’s how to follow the paper trail:

  1. Find an On the Brink poster in one of the five participating towns.

  2. Photograph it and post about your find on social media.

  3. Keep looking for the other designs.

You earn 1 point for each different poster type found and posted about. Find and interact with all four styles, sharing your discoveries on social media, and you earn 6 points total.

That’s six total for completing the set—not six additional points.

Tag @theravensgallery when you share so we can spot your discoveries and celebrate the hunt with you.

The posters stay where they are, of course. Take a photograph and leave the next curious creature something to find.

What can you win?

We’ll hold a drawing based on social media posts, with the following prizes up for grabs:

  • A piece of art valued up to $400

  • A $200 credit to RIP Gallery

  • An art set containing a standing easel, a table easel, four canvases, and a paint set

Something for your walls. Something for your next project. Something to turn “I should make more art” into a rather well-equipped possibility.

If the gallery credit has you dreaming already, explore Raven’s Ink Printing & Gallery’s services. We offer commercial, personal, and archival art printing, alongside creative support that helps ideas take physical form.

Your next creation might begin with a poster you happened to notice.

The art event behind the hunt

All those posters lead to On the Brink: Living in the Liminal, an exhibition about the spaces between endings and beginnings.

A change in season. A goodbye. A new chapter that hasn’t quite introduced itself.

Presented by Raven’s Ink Printing & Gallery and 7 Souls Tattoo and Piercing, On the Brink brings together New Jersey and New York artists, poets, and musicians to explore those familiar, sometimes strange thresholds.

Artwork will be on display October 25–November 1, 2026, at 7 Souls Tattoo and Piercing, 2 E Main St, Ramsey, NJ 07446.

Join us for the showcase reception and meet-and-greet on Wednesday, October 28, from 7–9 p.m. Expect art, spoken-word poetry, music, tarot readings, and a gathering of people with something to share.

Discounted themed flash tattoos are also offered during normal studio business hours. Contact 7 Souls directly for tattoo availability and requirements.

Explore the exhibition and RSVP for the October 28 reception.

Hunt by day. Gather after dark.

Fresh ink with a community purpose

You may have seen our videos of the posters being printed, prepared, and placed around town. There’s something satisfying about watching an idea become a physical object—and then watching that object start a conversation.

That’s a large part of what we love at RIP Gallery.

Our printing services help businesses, artists, and community organizations bring their work into the world through posters, business cards, banners, personal prints, and custom projects.

The poster hunt carries that work a little further. A printed piece becomes an invitation to explore. A social post introduces someone to a local artist. A person who came for the giveaway discovers an exhibition they want to attend.

Our broader mission connects printing, art, and community, including support for the Crafty Crows’ Coven and its work toward greater access to arts education and creative resources.

Every flock begins with a few connections. We’re rather enjoying watching this one grow.
